Veterinary clinic for exotic animals

DataAE, interioristas

Description Technical file

A marked contrast between the minimal strong white, the treatment of the volume of the existing premises and the construction of a series of wooden “boxes” intended for veterinary work are the signs of identity of these small premises in Barcelona.

The project consists of creating an interesting commercial infrastructure for use as a veterinary clinic for exotic animals requiring minimal financial investment.
The project requires a general clean-up as a first and necessary intervention that affects the render, joinery and installations of the entire interior of these typical neighbourhood premises in Barcelona’s Ensanche district.
Inside the extensive volume of the space, which is difficult to manage in terms of air conditioning and acoustics, a set of new volumes have been inserted in the manner of boxes built from a wooden framework. Each module is programmed with the necessary technical specifications in accordance with its use.
The use of white in paint and furniture, together with the light grey of the floor, provides greater visual amplitude for the premises while creating the necessary ambient calm for this type of use.
Two consultation rooms, an adapted cloakroom, an X-ray room and a small operating theatre configure the first phase of the minimum required programme through which to launch a small adventure.
