Lagranja Design Studio para/for Santa & Cole

Description Technical file

The Belloch chair was created in early 2009 by the Lagranja Design studio for the headquarters of Santa & Cole in Parc de Belloch, where they needed an economical, stackable seat that was easy to clean and transport and would adapt to any situation. The result has the stylistic resonance of Charles and Ray Eames, as well as environmental concerns.
Quite a lot of meticulous research went into the material. The plastic employed contains almost 40% of natural fibres, as if it were recycled wood shavings that are recovered and put through the shredder to add to the plastic. This material, constituted from recycled plastic, gives shape to the body of the chair, which is combined with the beech wood of the legs when the chair is for indoor use, and with aluminium when it is for outdoor environments. Wood adds value to this model and gives it a touch of warmth.
