Social housing in Rota

Guillermo Vázquez Consuegra, arquitecto

Description Technical file

An interesting exercise in architectural and geometric dimorphism that starts out with an orthodox block and then differentiates facades and internal centrelines. The two first external strips corresponding to the bedrooms in the former case and bathrooms and stairs in the latter reproduce the same geometry, while the third one is fractured and broken up to generate different day zones in the flat and thus create different dwelling typologies. This dimorphism is also reproduced in the treatment of the external facades and, equally, in the consideration of the internal courtyard of the block that in this way generates an interesting geometric landscape resulting from these successive fractures in the internal strips of the dwellings.
