Hello, Spring!

An arboreal structure six metres high made from recycled white aluminium tubes gave shape to the Cos artistic installation during the Salone del Mobile. “Bubble fruit” hung from its curved branches, which burst when coming into contact with the skin, turning into small clouds of mist.

The work was signed by Studio Swine, which comprises two creative talents: the Japanese architect Azusa Murakami and the British artist Alexander Groves. The name of the installation, “New Spring”, reflected the optimism and renewal generated by the change in season.

Studio Swine described the source of inspiration of their artistic creation: “We wanted to encapsulate a lifespan of emotions in an instant; to create an experience that was fleeting, but in its time evoked joy and vitality, if only to remain as a memory”.
