Enjoia’t 2016 Contemporary Jewellery Awards


Yet another yearEnjoia’t has recognised the most creative proposals in jewellery produced by both professionals and students at the ceremony staged on 30 September in the garden of Barcelona’s Maritime Museum.

Attendees at the party enjoyed a close-up view of the twenty-three creations produced with surprising materials and techniques. They could also talk to the designers about materials, concept and ways of making the pieces.

At the 22nd edition of this competition the jury, comprising the jeweller and member of A-Fad Enric Majoral, the industrial designer Martín Azúa, the jewellery designer Nuria Ruiz, María Luisa Samaranch, editor and collector, and María Díez, jeweller and professor at the Massana School, announced the following awards:

In the Professional category, the winner was Karin Roy Andersson for her piece “Backupfront”; first finalist was Sébastien Carré for “Visceral” and second finalist Angela Estenson for “Metamorfosis”.

In the Student category, the winner was Xiaodai Huang for the piece “Variants”; first finalist was Yili Cao for “See through skin” and second finalist Bàrbara Arnau for “Yes, why not”.

The piece which won the Enjoia’t Opinion Award 2016 was “Metamorfosis”.
