Serpentine Pavilion 2016

JUL/2016

The Dane Bjarke Ingels was the architect chosen this year to design the pavilion in the gardens of the Serpentine Gallery in London’s Hyde Park.

The sculptural modular and undulating silhouette is composed of a series of empty glass fibre “boxes”. The interior contains a bar and a space intended for events organised by the art gallery.

The project is expanded with four summer houses built next to the principal structure and designed by the architects Kunlé Adeyemi, Asif Khan, Yona Friedman and Barkow Leibinger.

The temporary structure can be visited in Kensington Gardens until 9 October.
