Childhood memories: memory in design

JAN/17

Photographs, texts, sketches, music, video and scents in this exhibition (from 1 September to 22 October 2016), which ventured into the childhood memories and perceptions of the architects Zaha Hadid, Denise Scott Brown, Daniel Libeskind, Kengo Kuma and the Madrid duo Nieto Sobejano as well as the Spanish fashion designers Adolfo Domínguez and Custo Dalmau, plus the London-based hat designer Philip Treacy.

Through multisensory experiences that created "small worlds" of memory and design, the spectator discovered how these renowned architects and designers had come to develop such personal and unique projects as a result of their most intimate experiences. They are memories that marked their creative and professional evolution.

The exhibition, curated by Clare Farrow, arrived at Barcelona from London.
