Small but no foregoing comfort

Faithful to its principles, the Mini car brand made a great demonstration of creative use in small urban spaces at the Salone del Mobile.

At its “Mini living. Do Disturb” installation they displayed a 30-m2 flat that formed part of a micro-neighbourhood with similar flats (the other three flats were only suggested in the installation).

The walls of the home, comprised of modules of fold-out shelving units, integrated a variety of systems and elements such as for example the kitchen. By simply opening different shelving units, the flat’s interior space was completely transformed.

The four flats shared communal open spaces. A way of boosting interaction between all the occupants of the micro-neighbourhood, impossible to achieve in a conventional private space.
