Why buildings fall down

A tale of the architectural and engineering disasters through the centuries. An alternative journey through the history of architecture that will allow us to discover the techniques, ideas, materials and circumstances of some unforeseeable or foretold catastrophes, from the pyramids of Egypt to the collapse of the Twin Towers after the September 2001 attacks.

The book invites readers to look at buildings like they had never seen them before: with a clear comprehension of why they remain standing and why, even if only occasionally, they fall down.
