Casa Decor Madrid 2015

ON352 - JUN/2015

The 50th edition of Casa Decor has this year transferred to one of Madrid’s most avant-garde areas: calle de La Palma in the district of Malasaña. A total of 42 teams specialising in interior design, architecture and landscape design came together to transform the 2,600m2 of this unique building dating from 1778 for the Royal Wax Factory of Carlos III. Its curious typology, with original elements and other parts restored under present-day canons, gives this edifice a unique appearance. This edition confirmed the trend for multifunctional spaces and has accommodated unique spaces that are difficult to pigeonhole in a particular typology.

Recognised Spanish interior designers and architects such as Héctor Ruiz-Velázquez, Guille García-Hoz, Olga López de Vera, Marisa Gallo, Silvia Trigueros, Sara Folch, Isabel Laranjinha, Beatriz Silveira, Raúl Martins, Marga Lantero, Carla Rotaeche o Ana Pardo de Santayana, junto a otros emergentes, como Manuel Espejo, Julián Gallego, Miguel Muñoz, Carlos Aires, Inma Recio, Concepción Morello, Bringas Bellod, Steven Littlehales, Virginia Albuja or Miguel Moreno Mateos, and major international firms such as Samsung, Ford, Tollens or Laufen took centre stage at this edition of Casa Decor.
