London Design Festival 2018

By mid-September,The British capital transforms itself into the world capital of design with an inspiring programme of events, installations and emblematic projects associated with architecture, interior design, crafts, graphic design, furniture, lighting, textiles and fashion.

In its sixteenth edition, this great festival of design spreaded around open spaces, sites and institutions in London in the form of exhibitions, commercial events, installations, talks and seminars. The organisers established ten official districts or areas with a marked concentration of design activity that could easily be covered on foot. Each district was organised locally and independently through the London Design Festival platform.

In 2018, four new districts joined the festival: Fitzrovia Design District, Marylebone Design District, Regent Street and St James’s Design District, plus West Kensington Design District, which joins Bankside Design District, Brompton Design District, Clerkenwell Design Quarter, Mayfair Design District, Pimlico Road Design District and the Shoreditch Design Triangle. Visitors also enjoyed the Paddington Central Design Route, a new itinerary along the Brixton Design Trail.

The London Design Festival is also an essential platform for the principal fairs staged in the British capital, among them: 100% Design, Decorex International, designjunction, Focus/18 and the London Design Fair.
