Exhibition of graphic design. Terras Gauda International Biennial Poster Design

The 1,568 posters from 62 countries entered in the 13th Terras Gauda – Francisco Mantecón International Biennial Poster Design Contest are on display until late November in Vigo’s Maritime Station.

From Sri Lanka to Moldavia, from Thailand to Mauritius, from Malaysia to Israel, the variety and wealth of participating countries outlining a visual tour around the planet consolidates the contest’s prestige and convening power. Italy is the second country with the most posters entered, with 199, only exceeded by Spain (564).

Previous winners of the Francisco Mantecón contest include graphic artists with a relevant trajectory such as the Japanese Shima Takahiro, the Belgian Thomas Pion, the Berliner Sebastian Büsching, the New Yorker Taber Calderón, the Spaniard Cristina Vergara Echarri and the Pole Barbara Pilarska, among others.

The jury’s verdict will be announced on Friday 24 November during the prize-giving ceremony. 16,000 euros in cash will be distributed between 1st Prize, two Runners-up and a Special Mention.
