Transmaterial Policies

An extensive exhibition of the most important works produced in recent years by the architect and artist Andrés Jaque and his Office for Political Innovation, a thought platform created in 2003 together with a small group of architects, designers, journalists, sociologists and economists that champions architecture’s political dimension and which today is one of the most influential voices in contemporary architecture.

The exhibition, curated by Ariadna Cantis, asks that we rethink plurality and difference through three spatial frameworks: that of domestic life; that of collaboration between the organic and the inorganic; and that of the interaction between social media and the quotidian space.

Distributed around the spaces of La Fragua and the Tabacalera Studios, on display will be projects such as Ikea Disobedients (part of the MoMA collection), Sales Oddity (Silver Lion for Best Research Project at the 14th Venice Biennale), Cosmo, Escaravox, Tupper home, and House in Never Never Land or Phantom. Mies as Rendered Society.

Until 19 November 2017
