For the third consecutive year, the city of Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates) will be hosting the Interiors UAE trade fair from 29 to 31 March 2010. Dedicated to interior design, the event will bring together around a hundred exhibitors from the Middle East and Europe, who will be showing the latest novelties in the sectors of lighting, linings, flooring, bathrooms and kitchens, textiles, office furniture and technology for the home, as well as indoor and outdoor furniture.
The High Fashion concept is the general theme of this edition, which will focus on the growing influence of fashion on contemporary interior design. To this end an invitation has been extended to the fashion designer Ben de Lisi, who will establish a debate on this issue and will be showing his new designs in sanitaryware. He will also act as a judge in the design competition organised in collaboration with The Inchbald school, which will invite students to use the High Fashion motto as inspiration to create spaces while further combining the themes Sleep, Eat, Play and Bathe.
Besides the residential sector, the fair places special emphasis on contract, and to this end will be organising The Sleepotel project in which studios such as Studio Arcibella, Vallila Interior and Shaun Clarkson will show their own future trends for the hotel industry.
The schedule of the fair coincides with the Gulf Landscaping 2010 fair focusing on landscaping, an ever-growing market in the Middle East.
